Job Title: Facilities Fellow

Overview:

The Facilities Department is responsible for strengthening the league’s capital project management and arena operations support for all new and renovated venues. In addition, the Facilities department manages a vast global network of our regional and international offices and sites.

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage competing multiple projects at once.
  • Knowledge of general project management and organizational skills.
  • Mindset or degree towards a career in the real estate industry or construction management.
  • Strong writing and communications skills.

Deliverables:

  • Perform research and data gathering for media entertainment facilities and office trends to develop benchmarking findings report
  • Develop methods and tools for collecting internal project feedback, analyzing data, and documenting action items
  • Involvement in the everyday project management for various department initiatives
  • Preparation of memos and presentations to be used internally/externally
  • Development and analysis of comp documents and data analysis
  • General arena and industry research and data gathering

Scope of Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Facilities team in the development of the real estate strategy for domestic and international NBA League offices, including the development of the real estate strategy for the NBA League office in New Jersey.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities will include participation in project management meetings and organization of actions/priorities for both office and venue projects.
  • Develop and manage the internal / external project stakeholder list and coordinate internal/external stakeholder discussion meetings to collect feedback and input on project deliverables for the New Jersey Real Estate project.
  • Become familiar with the NBA league office amenities and floor layouts to be a point of contact for onsite vendor visits and surveys. Be mobile between the NY and NJ league offices (via NBA inter-office shuttle or other).
  • Research industry best practices and collect data/findings to be included in presentations to project team and project stakeholders. Assist with general arena and industry research and data gathering. 
  • Assist with internal and external communication as it relates to NBA Arena Standards, database collection/execution and other misc. arena information.

To participate in the HBCU Fellowship Program, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including having received a booster when eligible.
