CDF began in 1973 and is a private, nonprofit organization supported by individual donations, foundation, corporate and government grants.

Position Overview:

The Business Affinity Program Manager will develop and cultivate relationships between CDF and businesses for the purpose of financially supporting and sponsoring CDF’s mission and programs. This position will develop and manage a robust and well-defined affinity program that delineates specific levels of engagement with CDF and specific benefits to businesses for their involvement. This position will develop an affinity program acquisition and marketing strategy designed to grow the total number of businesses participating in CDF’s business affinity program and to grow the total revenue annually resulting from this program. This position will engage as appropriate with existing CDF staff, alumni, donors and other constituents to help recruit new businesses into the affinity program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and optimize CDF’s existing portfolio of businesses which have selected CDF as their charity of choice.

  2. Develop a strategy and plan in coordination with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the structure of a CDF business affinity program including branding, levels of engagement, communication and cultivation strategies, participant recognition and affirmation, a marketing and acquisition plan to grow participation, and key metrics for measuring program progress and impact.

  3. Develop and continuously update print, digital and presentation collateral content which supports the CDF business affinity program.

  4. Collaborative closely with the CDO and other Development team members to integrate marketing and promotion for CDF’s business affinity program within CDF’s website, digital advertising program, and other existing constituent outreach efforts.

  5. Utilize marketing resources including donor stories, photos and videos suitable for cultivating current business affinity program participants and for recruiting new participants.

  6. Monitor all metrics relevant to measuring the impact and growth of CDF’s business affinity program.

  7. Engage, as appropriate, with existing CDF staff, alumni, donors and other constituents to help recruit new businesses into the affinity program in coordination with the CDO.

  8. Manage and complete additional assignments from the CDO and from CDF’s President, and assist, when appropriate and possible, with other Development team initiatives and projects.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Demonstrated passion for CDF’s mission;

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience required;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skills in writing succinctly with excellent grammar, spelling and proof-reading;

  • Demonstrated attention to detail;

  • Demonstrated skills in organizing multiple projects and priorities.

  • Prior experience with nonprofit programs and services, especially those involving children and education-related projects, preferred;

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to CDF’s work required, advance degree strongly preferred;

  • Demonstrated experience working with constituent relationship management (CRM) tools; Salesforce and/or Raiser’s Edge experience preferred;

  • Ability to travel occasionally.
