Position Summary/Objective
The primary responsibility of this individual is to support the Human Resources department. Duties range from coordinating meetings, maintaining our employee database, employee engagement support, and special projects.  

Essential Functions:  

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions:  

  • Provide new employee onboarding support including setting up new hire desks and credential submissions  

  • Lead the I-9 Audit ensuring accuracy in all employee records  

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, including but not limited to scheduling meetings and events, updating the employee org chart, and screening resumes.  

  • Act as a member of the FUN Committee to assist with executing our summer employee events  

  • Assist the Human Resources team with miscellaneous projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other:  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required  

  • Strong computer skills required (Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred)  

  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly 

Experience
 Background or interest in working in the Human Resources field.  
  
Education:
Working towards a bachelor's degree is preferred.  

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses:  
None required 

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities   

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00PM. In addition to working office hours staff may work external events including but not limited to charity and networking events. Work is sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.   

Physical Demand
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff may occasionally move boxes/deliveries weighing up to 10 pounds.   

Travel
Position may require infrequent travel to external events, including but not limited to career fairs and networking events.
